Film and TV lighting. The fill light is used in conjunction with a KEY LIGHT to ‘fill in’ the darker areas that the key light has not reached, and to reduce contrast. It is usually a soft, diffused or reflected light and is placed on the other side of the camera to the KEY LIGHT and close to the camera. See LIGHTING
