FEEDBACK – TV – Print - Radio
a) Name given to the response from the audience to a media product. Can be written, emailed, on the phone or in a special programme, requesting information or offering criticism, and occasionally praise, to a broadcast radio or TV programme or from readers to a print publication in a letters page.
b) Audio: acoustic or electrical feedback is the very nasty loud noise made when a sound is fed back into a speaker causing HOWL-ROUND. Often heard in public address systems as a high pitched whine when the microphone picks up noise from the speaker system which is then amplified back through the speakers.
