Edit Decision List. A list of the time code numbers indicating the exact location of all edit points created during a video edit. The EDL has all the in-frames and out-frames for each sequence, and all the audio cut points, of a programme as selected by the EDITOR in the latest assembly. Created as part of the NON-LINEAR editing process.
