EDITOR – Print – TV - Film - Radio
a) TV/FILM The person who assembles and puts together in a narrative sequence all the various scenes and extra sounds for a film, or TV or radio programme. The Editor usually works with the DIRECTOR, or according to his or her notes, to create an ASSEMBLY of the material. This is then revised and refined with the Director to become a FINAL CUT. The film or video editor is also responsible for TRACK LAYING the sound leading up to the SOUND DUB.
b) TV/Radio. The person who is in overall charge of a TV or radio programme, or series of programmes, or of the day’s news output.
c) PRINT The person who decides policy and is responsible for overall content of a newspaper or other print publication.
