a) TV and film editing is non-linear.

b) In its simplest form film editing is cutting frames of film from THE RUSHES, and sticking them together with transparent tape to create a ROUGH CUT or early version, of a programme.

c) Editing for TV and radio is now digital, and is done with a computer and comes under the process of POSTPRODUCTION.

d) Editing in radio up until the 1990s involved the actual cutting with a razor blade of ΒΌ inch magnetic tape, on which was recorded the speech and sounds. Radio editing is now done digitally on a computer package such as AUDACITY.
