DUBBING – TV – Film

The process of mixing all the different elements of sound in a TV programme or film, comes for a film industry term meaning to copy. This is where the dialogue, ACTUALITY, music, COMMENTARY and SOUND EFFECTS are mixed on a sound mixing desk to create the final soundtracks for a programme. In the case of a modern feature film such as Baz Lurhman’s Moulin Rouge this can be extremely complex and take many months. see DUBBING THEATRE.
