DUBBING THEATRE β TV β Film
(right: BBC Scotland Dubbing suite)
The location where a SOUND DUB takes place, has a sophisticated sound mixing desk and video playback often projected onto a large screen. Modern theatres are all digital and use computer editing software to set up and βlayβ the audio TRACKS. The production team can hear the mixed sound played back with the pictures at each stage, and suggest modifications if necessary. A straight forward 30 minute TV factual programme can take about a day (8 hours) to dub, if all goes well!
