COPYRIGHT – TV – Film - Radio

An intellectual property right. It is a way of protecting the tangible result of creative work, such as music or a script, from being pirated and exploited by someone else. Copyright laws cover music on a commercial CD or other format. Licences can be obtained for copying and broadcasting copyright material but always check with copyright holders. For a music CD these will typically be: artist, composer, lyric writer, producer, record label and publisher. These details can be found on a record label.
