CONTINUITY – TV – Film – Radio

The concept of continuity in any moving image production is to ensure a seamless narrative. Continuity is the process of ensuring that all on- screen material in a scene relates perfectly in detail and design to all the other scenes in a Film or TV drama. Has come to refer to the member of the production team who carries out the task of ensuring continuity, by checking on set props, costume, make up and position of actors’ hands, hair and carried objects (props). Using digital pictures taken at each ‘set up’ the continuity person can check to make sure all details match when the scene is shot again or when the succeeding scene is set up.
