COMMISSIONING EDITOR – TV - Radio
Creative executive employed by a broadcaster to sift, select and make decisions on what programmes are to be produced for a particular channel. Broadcasters have a commissioning editor for a GENRE such as children’s, sport, primetime drama, factual, or daytime. The commissioning editor’s job is to select from hundreds of PROPOSALs received each year, and choose programmes within the overall budget that are suitable for the genre and channel.
