BLIMP – TV – Film
A sound proof housing that muffles the sound of a movie or TV camera’s mechanism. Used in quiet locations so that camera noise is not picked up by the mics. Also the name for a camera housing with other uses e.g. an UNDERWATER BLIMP - a specially constructed waterproof housing that covers the entire camera so it can be used underwater, usually only to a limited depth.
