BCU
Big Close Up. Refers to the size of a person or object in the frame. A BCU of a person typically is a shot of the eyes and mouth of the face cutting off most of the forehead and most of the chin. A BCU of an object fills the frame with a detail of the design on a Greek vase, or a detail on a piece of equipment. See SHOT SIZE.
