BATCH DIGITIZING

Process of recording video clips (as data) from a video player, or the camcorder, onto the hard drive of a computer editing system in order that they can be edited. The video RUSHES are viewed and the required clips selected with their TIME CODEs. These clips can then be loaded onto the editing system either one by one, or in a batch or group. The system takes time to find each clip and digitize it.  This is speeded up if the clips that have already been selected can be digitized together by utilising the batch option in the software. See DIGITAL, COMPUTER EDITING, VIDEO EDITING.
