BACK TIMING – Radio

Refers to the way a programme (or CD/tape/minidisk) is timed by counting down backwards from the end of the programme, to show exactly how much time is left.  This allows the producer/presenter/production team to work out how many minutes and seconds are left in the programme. See DURATION
