Sound recorded on location for a radio programme that is not an interview. This sound may be BACKGROUND sound that can be used later as a separate track in the edit –see BUZZ TRACK, ATMOS, or it can be a collection of sounds from the location recording. Often used to make a radio report more ‘interesting’.
