Objectives

Knowledge              : To develop ideas about the EDUQAS set products

Learning                 : To build ideas of study of media products by applying skills acquired

Understanding       : To develop understanding by analysis of the set products

Starter/Loop Activity (5 minutes)

  • Resource Pack Slide 11: Task 1A Pupils asked to consider the task from the Lesson Resource: Lemonade CD cover.

Prepare the Learning (5 minutes)

  • Share the objectives. Remind students of the objectives we are working towards meeting, and that this unit is designed to help them prepare for the two papers of the examination and their NEA.
  • All skills and strategies are transferable. Go over responses to the Loop activity. Tease out the points relevant to today’s learning – Media industry and the promotion of performers to targeted demographic.
  • The speed/depth at which you cover the following slides before the application of the learning task is all about the needs and capacity of your students.
