Book A Half or Full Day Workshop in Your School

Programme Details

  • Our full or half day, interactive, visually stimulating workshops introduce, boost or revise the study of newspapers and radio news by exploring key genres and conventions – tabloid, mid market tabloid, local newspapers, broadsheets and freesheets.
  • Sessions will also explore how news offered on a range of platforms has impacted on this historical media form. One of these alternative platforms is Radio News. While we will analyse media language, genre and narrative, audience and audience appeals, issues of representation and institutional factors when investigating Newspapers, our main focus for Radio will be on planning Radio News practical tasks e.g. scripting.
