Programme Details
Although we have workshops and revision sessions listed below, we would also be thrilled to offer you a more bespoke package. This can be based on year groups, classes or one-to-one student led or can be based on either exam / internal assessment, theory or practical work.
We are also keen to work with teachers and departments and can offer CPD for your subject specific needs.

Teacher Workshops
- Understanding the assignment paper trail
- How do you run a BTEC course successfully?
- Q&A
- Raising standards in the classroom
- Procurement and practical resources
- Teaching a practical course
Student Workshops
- A range of Assessment For Learning based activities
- Both whole and smaller group work
- Carousel activities
- Links to resources on the MediaEdu site
- Either practical workshops and / or examination paper analysis
- Focus upon at least one unit - for example Music Video production or Advertising
- Focus upon skills for example moving image editing or DTP skills for the creation of a film magazine
We ensure that students get to know the exam structure, format and AOs.
Depending on the how well equipped the centre is we can model production work and provide opportunities for students to be creative too. We will work with you and your resources to provide a session that improves the learners’ needs.
Practical Workshops with MediaEdu
- We come to you.
- We can come to you in term time and either at the weekend or during the holidays.
- Each revision course and workshop is 3 hours in length and is delivered in both whole group and seminar-style workshops. We can also run full-day courses which are more appropriate for larger numbers of students.
- Our revision courses are run by ASTs (Advanced Skills Teachers) and / or Media Studies specialists.
- Our revision sessions are active, engaging and comprehensive.
- In order for a course to run, there needs to be a minimum of 20 students.
- Each student place costs £20 and must be paid in advance. We would suggest that the class teacher or HoD collect this from parents. Download the letter below to use as a template.
