Dear Media Student

Congratulations on reaching the final phase of your GCSE course. We know that the work has been difficult at times and possibly frustrating, but we hope that your two year’s work in the world of media has ultimately been rewarding.

The Final Challenge for you is possibly the most challenging yet – The Television Quiz Show exam!

We would like you to respond in role for these tasks – imagine that you are working in television and that your task is to create a new quiz show. You should aim to create a new programme which will appeal to teenagers of your own age and families. The show should be themed around the World of Media – this could include celebrities and show-biz stars, if you wish.

The first questions on this paper will see if you have been doing your research and how well you know the quiz show genre. The final questions will ask you to explain and describe your ideas for your new television quiz show.
Good luck with the tasks, but remember there can only be one winner and the losers go home with nothing (except maybe your BFH!).
